George Washington Middle School is located in the Del Ray section of Alexandria near the Braddock Road Metro station, not far from the center of Olde Towne.

From the South (I-495/I-95)

Exit the Capital Beltway (I-95) at US Route 1 North
Follow Route 1 through Olde Towne Alexandria
Continue left over the large bridge over the train tracks
At the end of the bridge, turn LEFT onto East Monroe Ave
At the first traffic light, turn left onto Mt. Vernon Ave
The school is several blocks farther down on the left

From the North (Crystal City)

Take US Route 1 South for 3 miles until you reach the large bridge over the railroad tracks
Turn right onto East Monroe Ave (US Route 1 bears left to go over the bridge)
At the first traffic light, turn left onto Mt. Vernon Ave
The school is several blocks farther down on the left

From Interstate 270

From Interstate 270 take I-495 (Washington Capital Beltway) south towards Virginia
Exit I-495 at the George Washington Memorial Parkway
Follow the Parkway to I-395 South
After passing signs marked Shirlington and Quaker Lane, take the Rt.7 (King Street) East and West exit
Follow I-395 / King Street directions

From Interstate 395 / King Street

Exit I-395 at King Street (Route 7) East
After 3/4 mile, turn left onto Braddock Road
Follow Braddock Road for approximately 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Mt. Vernon Ave
Turn left onto Mt. Vernon Ave
The school is about 100 yards ahead on the right

From the Metro

Take the Blue or Yellow line to the Braddock Road station
Turn right as you leave the station
Turn right again at the street (Braddock Road) and walk under the railroad tracks
Turn right at the next intersection (Mt. Vernon Ave.)
