* What:

Scottish Country Dancing is a modern form of social dancing based on Scottish dance traditions with roots going back for centuries. Dancers in sets of 3 or more couples work together to dance a series of formations to driving reels, jaunty jigs, snappy strathspeys or lilting slow airs.

* Why:

For fun! Make new friends, listen to great music, and get some exercise!

* Who:

Classes are currently best for experienced dancers. If you're new to SCD, consider attending SCD for Beginners on selected Friday nights and Saturday afternoons in Alexandria, VA or Greenbelt, MD -- and also on Zoom.
